UD Lanzarote

Founded in 1970, Unión Deportiva Lanzarote are based in Arrecife, the capital of the Canary Island of Lanzarote. Created through the union of several local teams, the club were established to provide the island with a stronger representative in Spanish football. Lanzarote have spent much of their history moving between the national lower divisions and the Canarian regional system, including extended periods in the Segunda División B. Their distinctive red shirts have earned them the nickname Rojillos, while their island location and home at the Ciudad Deportiva de Lanzarote give the club an identity firmly rooted in the community they represent.
