Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 20 August 2026

Introduction

Welcome to Football Shirt Revival.

These Terms & Conditions apply to the use of this website, purchases made through Football Shirt Revival, and restoration, customisation, authenticity advice and related services provided by Football Shirt Revival.

Football Shirt Revival is operated by Stuart Hannaford, trading as Football Shirt Revival.

By placing an order, commissioning work or otherwise purchasing a service through this website, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions.

Where restoration or customisation services are purchased, additional restoration-specific terms and acknowledgements may be presented during checkout.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

About Football Shirt Revival

Football Shirt Revival is a football shirt collection, archive, restoration, customisation and sales website focused on genuine football shirts and football shirt-related services.

Not all shirts displayed on the website are available for purchase. Some form part of a personal collection, archive or wanted list.

Product Descriptions

Every reasonable effort is made to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, measurements and other information are accurate.

Buyers should review all photographs and information provided before purchasing, as these form part of the item description.

Many football shirts offered for sale are vintage, pre-owned or previously worn. Age-related wear, minor imperfections and signs of previous use should therefore be expected unless specifically stated otherwise.

Football Shirt Revival aims to disclose known flaws, restoration and customisation work wherever reasonably possible.

Authenticity Assessments

Authenticity classifications, evidence ratings and authenticity advice are provided in good faith based upon the evidence and information available at the time of assessment.

Football shirt authentication is not an exact science. New information, manufacturing evidence or genuine comparison examples may subsequently become available.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, an authenticity assessment represents the informed opinion of Football Shirt Revival rather than independent certification or an absolute guarantee of authenticity.

Where Football Shirt Revival provides authenticity advice concerning a shirt owned by a customer, or a shirt that a customer is considering purchasing or selling, that advice is provided as an opinion only.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Football Shirt Revival accepts no liability for financial loss arising solely from a customer's decision to buy, sell, value or otherwise deal with an item in reliance upon such an opinion.

Customers remain responsible for their own purchasing, selling and valuation decisions.

Restored & Customised Shirts

Some shirts offered by Football Shirt Revival have undergone professional restoration or customisation.

Where known, relevant restoration or customisation work will be identified within the product information.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, replacement sponsors, namesets, sleeve sponsors, rear sponsors, patches, match details, applied crests, logos and other reproduced graphics are modern reproductions rather than original period-manufactured components.

Football Shirt Revival primarily uses DTF (Direct-to-Film) transfers and manually recreated reproduction artwork and materials.

Reproduction components may differ from the original factory-applied component in material, texture, thickness, flexibility, sheen, finish, manufacturing method or other physical characteristics.

Where an original material or production method is unavailable, the objective is to reproduce the visual appearance of the original as closely as reasonably possible rather than to reproduce the original manufacturing process.

Colour & Reproduction Accuracy

Every reasonable effort is made to reproduce original colours, dimensions, typography, positioning and other details accurately.

However, an exact reproduction cannot be guaranteed.

Colour appearance and reproduction can be affected by the age and condition of the original item, fading, fabric colour, transfer materials, printing processes, underlying patterns, lighting, photography and other variables.

Customers therefore acknowledge that reproduction colours and materials may differ slightly from original period examples.

Minor variations inherent in reproduction processes do not, by themselves, constitute defective workmanship.

Customer Restoration & Customisation Work

Customers should normally contact Football Shirt Revival before purchasing a restoration or customisation service so that the proposed work can be assessed and the appropriate service confirmed.

Where an existing sponsor, nameset, patch, transfer, crest, logo or other component is to be removed, Football Shirt Revival will normally provide photographs or other relevant information and obtain confirmation from the customer before removal begins.

Where appropriate, replacement artwork, dimensions, positioning, colours or other proposed details may also be supplied for approval before application.

The customer is responsible for checking any information presented for approval, including player names, numbers, spelling, match details and requested customisation.

Once approval has been provided, Football Shirt Revival may proceed on the basis of that approval.

Risks Associated With Restoration

Football shirt restoration can involve working with ageing fabrics, adhesives, vinyl, flock, transfers, patches, sponsors, namesets and other materials which may have been attached to a garment for many years.

It is not always possible to determine the condition of the fabric beneath an existing application before that application has been removed.

Removal may reveal staining, fading, dye migration, adhesive residue, ghosting, impressions, fabric discolouration, previous chemical treatment, heat damage, deterioration or other defects which were previously concealed.

Football Shirt Revival cannot guarantee that an area from which an existing transfer or application is removed will be suitable to leave permanently blank.

Where removal forms part of a restoration, it is normally undertaken as an intermediate stage of the agreed restoration, with the intention of preparing the shirt for the agreed replacement or further work.

If a significant or unexpected issue becomes apparent after removal, Football Shirt Revival may pause work and contact the customer before proceeding.

Football Shirt Revival will exercise reasonable care and skill and take reasonable precautions to obtain the best achievable result. UK consumer law requires services to be performed with reasonable care and skill.

However, the customer acknowledges that Football Shirt Revival cannot guarantee a completely invisible or flawless result where the condition of the underlying garment, ageing, previous treatment or existing application makes that result impossible.

Football Shirt Revival will not be responsible for pre-existing defects, previously concealed damage or unavoidable consequences of restoration which could not reasonably have been identified before work commenced, provided that the service itself has been performed with reasonable care and skill.

Customer Approval & Authorisation

Where Football Shirt Revival requests approval before removal or application, work will not normally proceed until that approval has been received.

Approval may be given electronically, including by email, website communication or other written message.

Where the completed work accurately reflects information specifically supplied or approved by the customer, Football Shirt Revival will not be responsible for an error contained within that customer-supplied or customer-approved information.

This does not apply to an error introduced by Football Shirt Revival which differs from what the customer approved.

Customer-Supplied Shirts

Customers should disclose any known previous restoration, transfer removal, chemical treatment, adhesive treatment, heat damage, dye problems, repair or other relevant work carried out on a shirt before it is supplied to Football Shirt Revival.

Football Shirt Revival cannot accept responsibility for problems caused by undisclosed previous treatment or concealed damage which could not reasonably have been identified before work commenced.

Customers are encouraged to retain photographs and evidence of the condition of particularly rare or valuable shirts before sending them for restoration.

Return Delivery Of Customer Shirts

Where a customer sends a shirt to Football Shirt Revival for restoration or customisation, the completed garment must be returned to the customer.

Return delivery is therefore chargeable as part of restoration and customisation orders unless expressly agreed otherwise.

Promotional free-delivery offers applicable to purchases of Football Shirt products do not apply to orders containing restoration or customisation services.

The customer is responsible for supplying an accurate return delivery address.

Care Of Restored & Customised Shirts

Restored and customised shirts may require particular care.

Customers should follow any care instructions supplied by Football Shirt Revival.

Football Shirt Revival cannot accept responsibility for subsequent damage caused by inappropriate washing, tumble drying, ironing, excessive heat, unsuitable chemicals, fabric softener, incorrect storage or other treatment contrary to supplied care guidance.

As with original transfers, reproduction materials will naturally age and wear over time. Normal wear, ageing and deterioration arising from subsequent use do not constitute defective workmanship.

Personalised & Bespoke Work

Some restoration and customisation services are produced specifically to the customer's requirements.

Where legally applicable, personalised or bespoke products may be subject to different cancellation rights from standard goods.

Restoration services may also involve work beginning before the expiry of a statutory cancellation period where the customer has expressly requested that work commence.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions removes any statutory cancellation rights which apply to a particular transaction.

Pricing

Prices displayed on the website are provided in good faith.

Prices may change before an order is placed.

Where a genuine and obvious pricing error has occurred, Football Shirt Revival reserves the right to cancel the affected order and provide a refund where permitted by law.

Availability

Product availability may change without notice.

A football shirt may become unavailable where it is sold elsewhere, retained in the collection, withdrawn from sale or otherwise no longer available.

Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, original website content, photographs, graphics, restoration artwork and written material created by Football Shirt Revival remain the property of Football Shirt Revival.

Football club names, manufacturer names, sponsor names, logos, crests and trade marks remain the property of their respective owners and are used for identification, historical reference, restoration and descriptive purposes.

External Links

This website may contain links to external websites.

Football Shirt Revival is not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability or policies of third-party websites.

Limitation Of Liability

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or restricts liability where such exclusion or restriction would be unlawful, nor do these Terms & Conditions remove statutory rights available to consumers.

For restoration and customisation services, customers specifically acknowledge the inherent risks associated with working on vintage, used, ageing or previously modified garments, including the risks associated with removing existing transfers and applications.

Acceptance of these Terms & Conditions and, where applicable, the separate Restoration & Customisation Acknowledgement confirms that these risks have been disclosed and understood.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Football Shirt Revival shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses which were not reasonably foreseeable when the relevant contract was entered into.

Changes To These Terms

These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time.

The Terms & Conditions applicable to an order or commissioned service will normally be the version in effect when that order is placed.

Where acceptance is recorded electronically, Football Shirt Revival may retain the version and date of the Terms & Conditions accepted as part of the order record.

The latest version will always be available on this page.
