New York Red Bulls

Founded in 1994 as the New York/New Jersey MetroStars, New York Red Bulls were one of the original clubs created for the launch of Major League Soccer. The team played in MLS's inaugural season in 1996 and became an important part of professional football's new era in the United States. Originally based at Giants Stadium, the club adopted the Red Bulls name in 2006 following its acquisition by Red Bull and later moved to a purpose-built stadium in Harrison, New Jersey.
