Ferencvaros

Founded in 1899 in Budapest's ninth district, Ferencváros have grown to become one of the most historic names in Hungarian football. Commonly known as Fradi, the club was established as Ferencvárosi Torna Club and became a major force during the formative years of the Hungarian game.    Ferencváros literally means "Francis Town", the Budapest district named in honour of Emperor Francis I.
